Hello,
I would like to know if mixomics works well with genetic data and also with non-omic data (e.g. anthropometric data or data from clinical routine diagnostic (blood parameters like glucose, lipids, liver and kidney parameters etc.)?
Thanks in advance, I appreciate your help!
Best
Alina
hi @s7alschi,
Genetic data dont work too well as they include very little information (especially since most of our methods are focused on variable selection). Also because we consider the variables to be on a continuous scale. Instead, you could consider including them as a polygenic risk score.
Clinical diagnostics should be fine, see your example in the liver.toxicity study with PLS.
