I have performed the PLS-DA analysis on the data i have. And the plot for classification error rates is as shows. How do i select which type of distance method to use.

We cover this in our tutorials on our websites. Given the large discrepancy between overall and BER, your results suggest you have an unbalanced design
→ choose base on the BER results
Then choose the lowest error rate
→ max.dist (although all distances + BER seem to give similar results).
