MINT for dependent datasets?

Hello mixOmics community,

I am verty interested by the MINT algorithm proposed in mixOmics to perform a P-integration on independent datasets.

I am wondering if it is correct to also use MINT to integrate two dependent datasets, for exemple 2 datasets collected on the same individuals but at two different body parts ? or on the same individuals but on two organs, two kind of samples (blood, biopsie…etc).

Thanks in advance for your answer,

hi @graviee,

If you have the same individuals, then it would be better to do N-integration (DIABLO etc) for that context.
